The trends seen at HOMI Fashion&Jewels that will mark the spring-summer 2022

Colours, weaves and comfort: we are pleased to present you the fashion of the next season

There is a wish for joy and carefree moments, without forgetting the comfort to which we have been accustomed in recent years. So the Spring-Summer 2022 fashion speaks of a summer full of fun in slow mode.

In fact, it is the hands of artisans  that are the protagonists. The Tuscan districts work leather, chains, small communities weave raffia and expert hands shape raw materials to create exquisitely crafted objects.

There are shells collected from the sand, corals unearthed from the seabed and tambourines handmade by Amlé: Bavarian necklaces are important and dress more than a dress with unusual colours and textures. Melania La Via patiently and lovingly works metal wires loaded with colourful beads to create necklaces, chokers, earrings and even bouquets with a neo-Renaissance flavour.

Doralia's presence at the expo is important as it embodies Italian fashion jewellery in the world thanks to a unique project that combines the digital (the e-shop platform) and the physical (the presence at the fair): there is love for the "beautiful and well-made" and ingenuity. An example is Laura Visentin's jewelry with its small springs that become minimalist jewels with a contemporary charm.

Bikkembergs, too, is inspired by the urban world, without losing its sporty imprint: colourful bracelets with geometric elements and whistle-shaped pendants in dark steel with a bright point.

Maria Elena Capelli is an excellent trend-hunter and has confirmed her presence at HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition with a selection of brands in the Tuttepazzeperilbijoux area. Among the proposals stand out the velvet chokers by Almarow, those with sorbet-coloured crystals by Alevà Bijoux Jewels, the hand-embroidered soft fabric jewelry by Le Robe di Chicca and, finally, the flamed enamel jewelry by Galante Visconti.

Colour is a central theme for all the collections and fashion has also gave it the shape of accessories: Alex Max created a nylon backpack in different rainbow shades, while the raffia hats are crocheted using all possible shades to create "granny" style pictures.

Three trends stand out among the bags: pouch bags, going from leather models with wooden snap closure to the colourful jacquard fabrics by Xiwikj; denim bags that Airoldi also offers in tie-dye versions, and caramel-coloured suede handbags loaded with bangs for a more country style.

In terms of clothing trends, special mention should go to the vichy checkered fabric with its fresh and trendy shades (lime and lilac by Steph), while the silk kimono with velvet border by Zenobia will be a must-have for the city to wear over jeans or at the beach with a bikini.

Completing the summer looks are the ultra flat Friulian shoes - ChaCha created them in vitaminic hues - or made from waste fabric with a sustainable perspective.
